Thank you for the nice experience with Blacklink airport transfer. It was easy for us to locate the driver as he was already waiting at the gate where we exited. The rate of Blacklink is also lower than other airport transfer providers. And the size of the car is just right for the 3 of us. The car also looks elegant. The pocket wifi for rent is also a big help since I don't need to queue at the wifi rental counter at the airport. This is very convenient for arriving tourists. And the rental price is also reasonable.

We could not have had a better driver. He was on time. Very friendly. Very professional. The only issue was tips. We don't carry cash and had nothing to tip. We should be allowed to tip them from the vehicle with a machine like the taxi drivers had. I will definitely be utilizing your services again.

Namiseom Island was formed as a result of the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam. It is a half moon-shaped isle, and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo (reign 1455-1468).

Namiseom Island is 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon, and is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from the suburbs of Seoul. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit.

A special feature of Namiseom Island is that there are no telephone poles. This is because all electric wires were built underground to keep the natural feeling of the landscape. The island is 553,560 square yards with chestnut trees and poplar trees throughout.

In the middle of the isle, there is a grass field about 316,320 square yards. It features education and training facilities and camping sites. The island also has a swimming pool and water-sports facilities for motorboats and water skiing, as well as a theme park with a merry-go-round, shooting range, and roller skating rink. Lodging facilities such as resort villas and bungalows are available for visitors to stay on the island.

After travelling 10 km along the lakeside road from Cheongpyeong Dam, in the direction of Namiseom Island, you will come across a cluster of white, exotic buildings on the left-hand hillside. From its outward appearance, it would appear to be a village that belongs on the Mediterranean coast or in a pastoral area of the Piedmont Alps. This is Petite France, a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside! Petite France serves as both a French cultural village and a youth training facility (Goseong Youth Training Center), and consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing, and household culture.

The concept of Petite France encapsulates ‘flowers, stars, and the Little Prince.’ The village contains a memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupery, the author of the celebrated French novel, Le Petit Prince (1943) and as such it is called the Little Prince theme park. It also has a gallery displaying sculptures and paintings of le coq gaulois (the Gallic rooster), the national symbol of France; Orgel House where a 200-year-old music box plays a sweet melody; a shop that sells herbal and aromatic products; a souvenir shop; and many other locales where you can experience French culture. The village can accommodate up to 200 visitors with 34 guest rooms that hold four to ten people each. Enjoy the marionette experience and hear percussion instruments from around the world, and also enjoy soap bubble experience.

Also referred to as Seolsan and Seolbongsan, the mountain was named Seorak ('Seol' meaning 'snow' and 'Ak' meaning 'big mountain') because the snow would not melt for a long time keeping the rocks in a permanent state of white. In November 1965, the Seorak Mountain district was designated as a Natural Monument preservation area. Afterwards in December 1973, it was designated as a park preservation area, and in August 1982, as a Biosphere Preservation District by UNESCO.

The park is spread across 4 cities and counties: Sokcho, Inje, Goseong and Yangyang. The highest peak is Daecheongbong; to the east is OeSeorak and to the west is NaeSeorak, which is divided again into North NaeSeorak and South NaeSeorak. OeSeorak has many unique rock formations and waterfalls, including Cheonbuldong Valley, Ulsanbawi Rock, Gwongeumseong Fortress, Geumganggul Cave, Gwimyeonam Hermitage, Biryong Falls, Oryeon Falls, Togwangseong Falls and more. There are many hiking courses throughout the park with the most popular being the Biseondae-Madeungnyeong Course and Biseondae-Cheonbuldong-Daecheongbong Peak Course.

Jeongseon Arirang Market was a leader in agricultural markets across the country, drawing in close to 130,000 visitors per year in the early 1980s. However, with the rapid industrialization and migration of youth to the cities, the number of farmers have declined in recent years. Despite this decrease in workers, the stalls here still manage to sell all kinds of vegetables from Korean chili peppers to bellflower root to potatoes, garlic and more. Most of the produces for sale was harvested directly by the seller, providing fresh ingredients at low prices. Jeongseon Arirang Market is famous for medicinal herbs, with many tourists coming a long way to purchase these products. While many stalls are open throughout the week, the market becomes full and robust on official market days, taking place on all days ending in a 2 or 7. Korail operates the A-Train, a special tourist train that departs for Jeongseon from Cheongnyangni Station on market days.
